PERMANENT MAKEUP PROCEDURE

A step by step guide

CONSULTATION
Before any procedure can be done, it’s important to have a consultation on the day of your appointment, so that we can discuss what’s involved and the style and shape you’re looking to achieve.

ANALYSIS
I’ll perform a full skin tone analysis and determine what pigments to use to achieve your desired look.

PREPARATION

I’ll use my mapping technique to draw on the shape of your new brows or lips, using special tools to perfect your measurements. You’ll be able to confirm that the shape and style is correct before I proceed. A topical anaesthetic is applied to the area, to minimise discomfort.

THE PROCEDURE
The procedure takes on average 2 hours. You may feel a little scratchy sensation but this will be short lived as the anaesthetic starts to do its job. I will then check your brows or lips for any final adjustments

TOP UP
Semi permanent makeup is a 2 part process and all permanent makeup treatments require a top up session to complete 6 – 12 weeks later.

AFTERCARE

The most important thing during the healing process is to keep the area clean.

Avoid touching the treatment area and absolutely avoid picking or pulling on the brows or lips during the healing process. Itchiness is normal and expected.

No makeup or skincare products should be applied on or near the treated area until the healing process has completed.

FAQs

How long does it last?

Results will always vary from person to person, after your initial session and the touch up, your results should last on average up to 2 years, depending on skin type and lifestyle. Additional touch ups may be required depending on the person and desired look. Permanent makeup ink is not the same as body art ink, and by design it does not last as long as body art ink. Colour boosts are recommended to keep the colour looking fresh.

Will you top up someone else’s work?

We are happy to top up brows/lips done elsewhere, as long as the pigment is almost completely faded and we feel able enough to go over the area without being able to see the previous pigment underneath. A top up of someone else’s work, will be classed as a new set, therefore will be charged the full cost.

If we cannot work over the old pigment as it is nit faded enough or the work done is un-symmetrical or done incorrectly, we have the option to lighten your old pigment using laser light. After a few sessions, the pigment may be light enough for us to work over and give you the perfect brows/lips you were looking for!

Please let us know before booking if you have had it done previously.

Does it hurt?

As with any cosmetic tattoo, there will be some level of discomfort which will vary from person to person. However, the discomfort is minimal for all micropigmentation treatments and a numbing cream will be used throughout.

What if i don’t like it?

Do not worry! We will only carry out semi-permanent makeup procedure if we know you are 100% happy with everything. We discuss in detail at your consultation what it is you want to achieve and we will always tell you whether you will be able to get the result you want. You will be involved in every step of the process.
